Hi, I'm Amanda Myrick.
I'm a colorist, editor, and filmmaker based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I earned my bachelor's degree in Media and Entertainment Arts from The University of Southern Mississippi.
My favorite part of filmmaking is color grading. I love exploring how color, light, and contrast influence the way a story feels. Whether I'm working on a documentary, music performance, narrative film, or commercial project, I'm always looking for ways to support the story and create images that feel intentional and memorable.
While color is where I feel most at home, my experience extends throughout the production and post-production process. In addition to color grading, I have experience in editing, cinematography, media management, post-production workflows, and multi-camera productions. Understanding how footage is captured, organized, edited, and finished helps me make stronger creative decisions and collaborate effectively across every stage of a project.
Outside of filmmaking, I'm passionate about photography, music, writing, painting, and other creative pursuits. Working in Hattiesburg's DIY music scene reminded me how much I enjoy creating things with my hands, and that spirit continues to influence the way I approach my work today.
When I'm not working on a project, I'm usually spending time with my husband and our cats, playing video games, or picking up a new hobby that sounded like a good idea at the time.
If you'd like to work together, I'd love to hear from you.
